Regarding RCS Membership Diploma, these are available for dentists. You can choose them based on benefits or any other criteria.

  1. MFDS by Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS Eng)
  2. MFDS by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPS Glas)
  3. MFDS by Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg (RCS Ed)
  4. MFD/Dip PCD by Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland (RCSI)

BUT, There is an easier way to obtain.

Regarding RCS Membership Exams,

What I usually advise candidates is a “B Route”

1. DPCD with RCS IRELAND

2. MFD 2 with RCS IRELAND

3. Then you can transfer to any RCS of your choice.

This route has comparatively higher pass rate.

DPCD has 80% clinical dentistry and has the highest pass rate over MFDS 1

Being a RCS England member myself, I’d still recommend RCS Ireland for two major reasons
1. 5 exams per year. Both parts online
2. No comparative percentile assessment

RCS TRANSFER

I’m not sure if everyone is aware of this

After successfully passing Part 2 of any RCS Membership exam,

You can also change your membership to a different RCS (From Edinburg to Glasgow to England, etc). You’ll just have to pay the annual membership fee.
